I Told My Good Friend I Have Feelings on her behalf. Do You Have Any Advice?

Reader Question:

We have understood this lady for approximately 10 months today and we have grown to be very good buddies. I started initially to like her and shared with her my personal feelings one-day. She didn’t go on it well.

We still would you like to date this lady, but each and every time it seems directly after we have a very good day of chilling out, certainly united states always becomes crazy at the other. I am not sure whether it’s worth every penny any longer.

I feel like basically try online dating another girl, she’ll get upset at myself and she may think I deserted the girl. I feel like she has lost her fascination with myself or she is looking forward to us to make a move.

Do you have any advice?

-Justin (Tx)

Dr. Wendy Walsh’s Response:

Dear Justin,

This woman is certainly not romantically contemplating you, but she’s very happy to grab the presents of friendship.

You do not owe the woman everything and mayn’t stress if she’ll feel abandoned. You have got a right to follow a romantic connection with a woman that is interested.

Give up on this, darling. She is been obvious to you.
